Looks like Transformers: The Movie is being re-released on DVD just in time for its 20th anniversary. It's hard to believe that I first saw this movie in theatres over 20 years ago.
Cool things that this version of the DVD has include:
- 16 x 9 Widescreen format - The previously released DVD does not have this; this is the first time the movie has been released in that format since appearing in theaters.
- The "Autobox Matrixof Knowledge Presentation" - A special feautre of the movie that will display trivia and facts about the movie and transformers in general while the movie plays.
- Multiple audio commentaries, including the writers (Nelson Shin and Flint Dille), voice actress Sue Blu (Arcee), and a fan commentary.
- Additional content:
- Original episode of "Scramble City" from Japan
- Original commercials for the toy line and movie
- Extra test/alternative/deleted footage from the movie
- Original episode of "Scramble City" from Japan

If you know of any other Transformers websites that you would like to see linked to, please send them to me!
Update! Martin Gauthier wrote in to inform me of the Optimus Prime Fansector website. It's a website dedicated solely to Optimus Prime, the greatest autobot of all!
Who is Primacron?
Submitted by dmuth on Fri, 2006-01-13 23:37. TransformersIn one of the post movie episodes of the Transformers,
"Call of the Primitives", there was featured an alien scientist by the name of Primacron who is an intelligent scientist but is physically weak by
transformer standards.
During that episode, it is explained that Primacron is a super-genious. He is capable of conceiving plans that are incredibly complex, as he was the one who created the planet eating world Unicron, who was in Transformers: The Movie. However, his drawback is that he can overlook the simplest things.
The tendency to overlook obvious things reminded me of how I used to be at the time. Keeping that in mind, when I first got into BBSing back in the Summer of 1993 and was asked to pick a handle, this was what came to mind and it has stuck with me ever since.
