Closeup of the wreckage

Top of the elevator shafts
Submitted by dmuth on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:29. Adam's MarkThe top of the elevator shafts. It looks like they actually left the part from the 23rd floor intact.
I have many memories of standing in that hallway waiting on the elevators.
Another back view 2
Submitted by dmuth on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:29. Adam's MarkIf you look in the center, you can see that the elevator shafts are still present. I would guess that they provide support for much of the building and destroying them would cause the building to collapse.
What's left of the parking garage
Submitted by dmuth on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:29. Adam's MarkActually, there isn't much left of the parking garage. It was completely demolished and flattened out.
No Climbing!
Submitted by dmuth on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:28. Adam's MarkIt's as if they knew I was coming...
Scaffolding along Monument Road
Submitted by dmuth on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:27. Adam's MarkThey had scaffolding in front of the hotel on monument road. Unfortunately, there was cloth to the left, so I could not get any good pictures of where the pool area used to be.
I can see light
Submitted by dmuth on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:27. Adam's MarkYep. Daylight is shining through the windows. They have completely gutted the rooms at this point.
In front of the hotel
Submitted by dmuth on Sun, 2006-05-07 18:27. Adam's MarkLooking up at the hotel was a really awesome site in real life. I tried my best to convey it in this picture.
The empty windows look kinda like a grid from a video game.
